Security is an issue that AAC ID Solutions is well versed in. There are always people who will try to enter your event or venue, or obtain additional services, without having paid for the right to do so.

We have managed identification solutions for some of Australia’s biggest indoor and outdoor venues including aquatic centres, stadiums, zoo's, go kart tracks, tourist attractions, bars/clubs and hundreds more, and understand your concern about security. The key to managing security is to have a clear plan on how you will identify guests and staff members.

AAC ID Solutions can work with you to determine the best combination of wristbands and lanyards that will maintain security at your venue. This may entail different colours, different designs and different materials. Keep in mind that ID wristbands have different security ratings - the more unique your wristband is, the harder it is to replicate and the more secure your event is.

Popular wristbands

For single use, we highly recommend our Australian-made Tvek wristbands. These are very economical and AAC ID Solutions are the only company in Australia who actually manufacture these, here on the Gold Coast. Commonly thought of as ‘paper’ wristbands, they are actually a synthetic polyethylene material. Tear resistant, tamper resistant, non-stretch, waterproof - they are perfect single use wristbands.

For multiday use, we highly recommend our straight-wave plastic wristbands, wide-faced vinyl wristbands or high security woven ID wristbands. All these ID wristbands are suitable for day or night  are comfortable and can be sequentially numbered and customised. For security staff, , you might prefer to use lanyards as an identification tool.

Our woven wristbands are almost 100% forgery proof. Closed using a metal slide lock, plastic slide lock or AAC's exclusive slide lock, the wristband is non transferrable. For the highest level of security, AAC offers aluminium locks that are closed using a special crimping tool. AAC will discuss all these options with you to propose the more suitable.

AAC ID Solutions is pleased to also offer wristbands that utilise RFID technology. The wristbands actually have a ‘chip’ embedded in them that opens up a world of additional functionality. Combined with our partners incredible metag online applications, we can offer a solution that allows you to automate access and entry, and even have patrons engage with social media at your venue.

Additional tips to maintain security at your event

1. Communiate your identification solutions amongst a select few staff. Information about these should be on a ‘need to know’ basis only.

2. Utilise a variety of colours, designs to identify guests. Change patterns and styles regularly.

3. Ensure your team is trained thoroughly on identifying wristbands and lanyards and know what to look for in terms of forgeries or other security breaches.

4. Be creative with your ID solutions – the more unique they are, the less likely they can be replicated.

5. Ask AAC about additional secureity measures like microtext and barcoding.
